We are proud that the HORTILED Inter designed for Hortilux  Schréder’s is rewarded with a GIO 2016 (Dutch equivalent for Good Industrial Design).

This LED grow light fixture is designed for high-wire cultivation of greenhouse vegetables (like tomatoes and cucumbers) and hangs between the plants to supplement top lighting.

In close collaboration with Hortilux Schréder’s team, we developed this innovative design. We also took care of the patent applications.

The most important USP are the reflectors, designed for optimal light distribution. The product illuminates the leaves from above – where it is most efficient – without burning them. Next to that the HORTILED Inter has a plug-and-play connector, which makes the product super easy to install.

On Monday, October 24 the award ceremony is held during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. At this dinner show, the jury will announce the ‘Special Awards for Excellence.’ We’ll keep our fingers crossed. During the Dutch Design Week from October 22 – 30, all winners will be exhibited at the Klokgebouw venue.
