On October 6 our co-founder and creative director, Ronald Lewerissa , was the keynote speaker at the largest packaging event in the Nordic region, next to Karim Rashid and Leland Maschmeyer. For two days packaging professionals gathered in Stockholm, Sweden to visit the fairs Empack, Label & Print, Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging. The four shows form the largest meeting place for the packaging industry in the Nordic region, with approximately 250 exhibitors and about 8000 professional visitors.

The Internet of Things is a phenomenon that is growing rapidly. Today everything in our world is connected to the internet. Ronald presented his designer’s perspective on The Internet of Packaging to the audience of marketing and packaging professionals. What can be the new value propositions of smart, interactive packaging in this connected world and what new opportunities does it bring? Connectivity in packaging may seem like a gadget, but once part of a bigger system it begins to have real meaning.
