We’re proud that the jury rewarded two of our designs with a GIO 2019 (Dutch equivalent for Excellent Industrial Design): the Kverneland iXTrack T and the Dunlop® Snugboot. We enjoyed collaborating with our clients on both projects, facing quite different challenges. Admire our GIO 2019 award-winning designs at the Dutch Design Week (DDW)| HAL 3 of Klokgebouw in Eindhoven from October 19th – 27th! With nine days|2600 designers|120 locations|450 events, the DDW is the largest design event in Northern Europe.

The Kverneland iXTrack T is a trailed sprayer launched by the Kverneland Group, designed around the needs of the farmer. It combines compact design with high tech electronics, excellent user-friendliness, and a dynamic appearance. In the design process, the Kverneland team concentrated on technique and construction, while we created smart, integrated design with great ergonomics, and uniformity in design language and quality perception of the Kverneland sprayer family.

Dutch Dunlop® Protective Footwear, the leading global manufacturer of protective footwear, introduced the Dunlop® Snugboot, the first working boot with superior comfort and safety for (semi) professional users. This unique boot is a result of our intensive collaboration and a user-centered approach, blending our smart, creative solutions with technical innovation. Together with the Dunlop team, we managed to realize something unique! Earlier, the jury of renowned international design awards rewarded the Snugboot: a Red Dot Design Award 2019 Product Design and an iF Award 2019.

We’re ready to join the official awards ceremony at FIFTH in Eindhoven The Netherlands on October 21st, 2018. On that evening, the jury will also officially announce the winners of a Special Award of Excellence in the different categories. We’ll keep our fingers crossed! From November 8th, the GIO winners will be exhibited at the Cube design museum in Kerkrade.
