In close cooperation with UNESCO-IHE, Royal Has Koning DHV, Systec and Generous Minds we are working on sanitation solutions for disaster areas. Today there are no proper solutions for lavatories and waste management that can be used in disaster areas. As result hygiene issues lead to disease.
In this great project we are developing breakthrough innovations that will provide cost effective, high quality sanitation for emergency situations.
The Emergency Sanition Operating System (eSOS) is based on some fundamental innovations that offer tools for ‘just in time’ waste management and optimization of treatment. The lavatories provide a safe environment in which proper hygiene can be guaranteed. It’s our mission to offer people in refugee camps a new sense of dignity.
We are currently building an ‘experimental prototype’ that will soon be used in a first pilot to learn about its added value and psssible challenges that need to be resolved.
